Hahah, one spell caused 300dmg to me in Chaos in Elona quest.
How gay, and that was only because of those bloody Lionguards who bloody stood behind me in every battle, and running away after they were hit.
AI ftl, and this title too -.-

What is the point of Lifebarrier?
Assuming you have 700 health
Without Lifebarrier
-take 70 damage from all attacks with PS which triggers SpiritBond
With Lifebarrier
-chance to take less then 60 damage from an attack (Doesnt Trigger SB)
-one extra enchantment to cast?

You can just as easily get r3 Survivor doing Urgoz farm, with ramp insight scrolls you get 6048xp per run (run time 1-2mins) plus zodiacs.
you can also do this with Rit, Ranger or Sin primary, meaning there is more flexibility.
Plus you dont have to spend 15k on a elite necro tome. In fact, you need no elites at all.
Assuming you get r1 survivor by the time you reach HzH you will only need to do 200ish runs to get r3.
thats 6 hours at the very outside, probably more like 4 1/2 to 5.

I also haven't found out yet. There aren't any elites needed on the Bonder monk imho.

a. You can do this with any primary. It's the monk's protection skills that makes this dead easy for any class and you need at most 10 in Prot.
b. You don't need elites because the smite bonds will easily do the job. It's just faster with SS/SoJ/Glad's/VWK...whatever
c. You need to get there alive and there's a much higher chance of dying. Die once = title gone.

You don't need LB, it's just easier with it. SB will trigger on Furious Axe and Triple Chop hits as low as 31 with PS and LB up. It looks like if it was going to do 60+ dmg, it'll trigger SB with LB. Normal axe attacks do less than 60+ and it's easier to mop it up with LB in the mix.
You also don't necessarily want it to trigger SB on all hits. Otherwise it can be a bit more challenging having to spam SB, particularly if you recast too early. Two seconds down could mean 50+% of your health without the second bonder, it's easy to panic and screw the pooch

gah SB was being stupid... I guess you have to wait for it to go completely down then recast it because i kept spamming it and it would continue the 10 hit thing (e.x. I cast SB and get hit 8 times, i recast it i get hit 2 times and its gone, instead of extending it by 10 again it just made it last longer but went away after 2 hits)
Oh well i needed a level 20 necro anyway...

In my opinion, I found that when testing this with my monk. Even using no life barrier with 15 al/ 60al armor to me was more challenging then taking off all armor. Because I understand that your spirit bonds will turn off quicker, but if you've ever solo'd/ duo'd the uw being able to watch for it to end and recast can easily be done by the time your life goes down to like 3/4th and every hit triggers spirit bond.
When I had 15al and up on my monk some regular hits hit for 59 and below and imo it was more scary watching the life going down more and more. One thing I would like to add is if your really scared about dying, you could try bringing the 2 divine intervention/ smite duplicate and if you think you could die just cast both of those (I haven't tested, but think that only 1 one trigger if you "die" then the other one would be there if your health goes down again)

I agree with you here. If you ever used the 600 Spirit Bond monk in the past farming trolls outside Drok's in starter armour, you'll find this a walk in the park.
Taking the second healing bonder makes life very easy for those unfamiliar with the timing of SB. I find it much easier to have all bonds up from 2 bonders and have never looked like going under 75% health on any run, even with dodgy PS and SB timing.
Things are a little dodgier with just the smite bonder - if you're comfortable with SB timing it's still easy, no matter what your AL. Obviously, don't wear AL60 in NM, only in HM...they rip you a new one no matter what your AL

Can anyone give me advice, I want to use my paragon to get legendary survivor but am afraid at farming it with the spirit bond build.
I am curious, could the same effect be achieved (slower obviously) that using like life barrier, life bond to tank the enemies and then slowly kill them off with spear skills or something work? Or do they still hit too hard even with both of those enchants? Should I just stick with the spirit bond build and hope that nothing happens?

It's even possible with a warrior, so it's no problem with a paragon

The Spirit Bond build is easy, made even easier when you add a second bonder providing up to +9 pips of health and +1 energy. It really does take the sting out of the Knights' hits.
If you're concerned about the timing of Spirit Bond take Shield of Judgment - the knockdowns give you plenty of time to recast Spirit Bond. And always let SB expire before renewing.
As i've mentioned in previous posts, practice the run with another character first to get used to the timing, then have at it with your survivor title hunter.
I'm currently working a Paragon through Istan and will post a run as soon as i get it to The Marketplace

So what would be some extra tips for survivability. I don't know if I should use life barrier because I have all my heroes runed up so it'd be like lvl 16 life barrier and what not and I am afraid sometimes it'd reduce it too much.
But I am guessing I should use max al armor, 2 bonders and then should I bring like the motivation skills and like reversal of fortune (the motivation ones where like you get healed if you get hit/ heal when you cast a spell) to increase my survivability?

Forget Motivation and Reversal of Fortune, they'll do nothing for you here. Just go with the Monk skills in the build in the first post, except Blessed Signet, and take an AoE attack like Shield of Judgment if you have it.
Don't run more than 10 in Protection on your smite bonder, max Smite is fine. 13 Healing and leftovers into Divine on the healing bonder is the way to go.

if using a warrior for this run, do you keep the 2 hero monk builds the same as mentioned in the original guide?

I'm using one Smitebonder, that's enough. I'm just too lazy to set up dunkoro, too.

Thanks so much ^_^ !
Edit : I'd like people to stop whisping me IG. And I mean it.
So here's how I did it : (and nope, it's not a damn fake : screen here proves it was done in less than 15 hours : http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/2686/gw061qx0.jpg)
Reached Survivor 3 after ten days cause I was busy HA'ing so I played one or to hours a day, and all the way I used 800g XP Scrolls.
Canthan born char. The Kamadan 600Hp armor was bought when I took my bonders. (Bored to return to Kaineng and then Shing Jea, and then storage. ~~)
First day : Got helped by three friends -> able to farm and level 12 in less than two hours. (Meaning having a bonder, 200 stat points and 600+ Hp.)
Second day : Farmed to level 20.
Third - fifth day : Farmed Marketplace HM to reach Survivor 2.
Fourth to fifth : Quests to Nah Pui.
Sixth : Made a 55Hp armorset. Did like 5 or 6 UW Solo runs (55 SV) cause I was bored.
Seven to ten : Marketplace HM to Survivor 3.
And that's it. No hidden über farmspot. No Photoshopping.
Good game and GL for beating this. :]
